Yes you can grown brightly coloured rhododendrons in Alberta and they will thrive. These are hybrids from Finland – Haaga. The neat thing about rhododendrons is the leaves are evergreen. They like an acidic soil.

Peonies put on a great show at the start of summer. Their roots are amazing. They last for decades. The tiniest bit left in the ground if the plant is dug up and transplanted will take root and send up a brand new plant.
